Termite control and treatment. Termidor is the #1 termiticide used in the country. Termidor is a non-repellent termite treatment, meaning that termites unknowingly enter the treated area between the termites in the soil and wood in your home. Termites tunnel through the treated area in search for food and they are exposed to the termiticide. Once the termites are exposed to Termidor control goes into effect almost immediately. Termidor works in several ways in killing termites in the colony. First, termites are eliminated as they ingest or contact Termidor. Second, termites transfer Termidor through social interaction and cannibalism. Termites survive as a colony and are in constant contact with each other. Termidor uses this biological behavior to control termites.
How Termidor is applied (for termite control treatment)
First, we drill all concrete slabs next to the foundation, placing holes approximately every 12 inches. Next, we dig a small trench around the structure next to the foundation. The trench is usually about 6 inches wide. Now, we’ll apply Termidor solution into the trench. The trenching method is important because this insures that the product is applied evenly around the foundation. After treating the trench, we put the soil back into the trench.
We also treat the soil that we put back into the trench so there will be no untreated soil around the foundation. Next, we inject the drill holes with Termidor solution. To finish up, we patch all the drill holes with cement. Your structure is now protected with the #1 liquid termiticide in the country.
